Most of the original pillars and arches have been removed for construction material, but one pillar and some of the arches remain.

Faida Water project

The Faida Water Project is a significant infrastructure project in Iraq aimed at improving water resources and management in the region.

The project is in Kurdish region of northern Iraq. This area has historically faced challenges related to water availability and infrastructure.

The site faces dangers from vandalism, illegal excavations, and nearby development. It was also close to conflict zones during the rise of ISIS.

Overall, the Faida Water Project plays a crucial role in addressing water scarcity and supporting the development of the region, making it an important initiative for improving both agricultural productivity and living conditions.
